2012 - 2013 Scholarship Timeline

Timeline: Current phase in red.

Step 1. Applicants must mail to HSF a complete Scholarship Application Package by November 15, 2011. Scholarship Applications postmarked after November 15, 2011 will be returned unopened to the sender. NO EXCEPTIONS. Receipts will be emailed to applicants after November 15 using provided email addresses.

Step 2. Scholarship Applications reviewed for completeness, applicant eligibility and compliance with provided Instructions.

Step 3. Applications evaluated.

Step 4. Finalists will be selected by March 1 and will be required to provide supplemental information. Finalists will be notified by regular mail and all other applicants will be notified by email.

Step 5. Finalists selected to be interviewed will be notified by regular mail and interviewed at locations, dates and times to be determined. All other Finalists will be notified by email.

Finalists selected to receive a scholarship will be notified by certified mail (USPS) and all other Finalists will be notified by regular mail.

Step 6. Each scholarship award must be accepted by the Recipient pursuant to the terms of the Award Letter.

Each Finalist interviewed and not awarded a scholarship will receive Five Hundred Dollars ($500) to be used to further his or her education. 

 

Decisions made by HSF are final and not subject to appeal.
